Pocher is exploring which 2024 Ducati Desmosedici GP should inspire a future premium model kit: Francesco Bagnaia’s red Ducati Lenovo Team bike, Jorge Martín’s purple Pramac Racing machine, or Marc Márquez’s Gresini Racing Ducati. Each bike appeared on the podium at the 2024 Catalan MotoGP, making this race a perfect showcase of Ducati’s dominant season.

The 2024 Catalan MotoGP

The 2024 Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya was one of the most exciting, dramatic MotoGP races of the season. Ducati dominated the event, with bikes on all three sections of the podium.

We want to recreate one of these incredible bikes in Pocher kit form, but we are torn between the three options. Each bike had its own style, making them all attractive propositions in their own right. But the story behind each of the riders is equally compelling.

1st place: Francesco Bagnaia for Ducati Lenovo Team

Francesco Bagnaia was the defending World Champion during the 2024 MotoGP season, riding a bold red Ducati Desmosedici GP. He didn’t start the weekend well, crashing out during the high-intensity sprint race, but he redeemed himself in the main event, securing the first-place victory and reaffirming his position as the driver to beat.

2nd place: Jorge Martin for Pramac Racing Team

Jorge Martin had already been overlooked for a Ducati Factory seat in previous seasons, but he was determined to prove himself in the MotoGP 2024. While he only managed second place at the Catalan MotoGP on his flashy purple Desmosedici GP, he took home the World Championship trophy at the end of the season and was sure he had done enough to impress Ducati.

Unfortunately, Ducati had other ideas, and so Martin ultimately moved over to Aprilia.

3rd place: Marc Marquez for Gresini Racing MotoGP

Marc Marquez was arguably the biggest name on the MotoGP podium, having been one of the defining GP racers of the 2010s. But his career was plagued with injury after he broke his arm in 2020, and he underwent four surgeries in two years. When he finally returned to racing with Honda, he struggled to make the impact he had enjoyed previously.

But when everyone knew he would be riding the incredible pale blue Desmosedici GP, the MotoGP 2024 was touted as his resurgence. A third-place spot on the Catalan podium marked an incredible comeback for the racer everyone was rooting for.

The 2024 season continued with plenty of drama and excitement, but the Catalan GP was the event that stood out the most. Ducati continued to command podiums around the world, winning 19 out of 20 races, and monopolising the top three spots in 14 of those events.

Vote for the next Pocher Ducati model kit

With that in mind, the Ducati Desmosedici GP is an obvious subject choice for Pocher. But which rider's bike should we honour with this premium model kit design? Or maybe there's another bike you think is worthy of Pocher replication? We want to know your thoughts, so we’ve created a 3-5 minute survey.

Click here to access the survey and let us know which of the three bikes excited you the most. Everyone who completes a survey will receive a 10% discount code for use on your next in-stock large-scale Pocher kit as a thank-you for your time.

We can’t wait to hear what you think.
